Last night we went to a Bedouin restaurant and had singlehandedly the most delicious eggplant hummus I’ve ever tasted. For the main entree, we both ordered the same dish, a spinach with lamb dish that was so succulent and needless to say, absolutely tasty. I didn’t take any photos. I haven’t become that kind of blogger yet, apparently.
Then we stopped by a lounge/bar super close to home. Either I’m a serious lightweight or the bartender put some serious amount of martini in my appletini, because I was drunk after my first drink. That has never happened before, though I’m a lightweight.
It was a lot of fun, and the bar turned out to be a friendly hole in the wall type of establishment. I’ll definitely go back there again. The fact that it’s so close to home is great. For some reason, if I’m drinking in a bar, I tend to feel a whole lot at ease if the bar is in a very short distance from home. I feel a lot safer that way. Strange, perhaps, but everyone has their own quirks, I’m sure.
Tonight we’re going to see a burlesque performance. EXCITED doesn’t even begin to cover it.
